Halva has always had a role at the dessert table in our family holidays with its flaky richness that stayed on the tip of our tongues for just the right amount of time before fading away. It was not until later in life when a love for cooking melded with a need and want to do more for our community that Vital Halva was born. From the outset, our community has supported us to get our bars into the hands of our customers, not only letting us know what’s important to them in their functional snacks but also the flavor and texture profiles that have made our bars stand out.
Nutrition, food and wellness were always close to my heart, whether training for half-marathons or long afternoons at the swimming pool. What you put in your body before and afterwards made the difference in completing your training runs or sputtering out before reaching your goal.
Coming full circle, it felt like a natural fit to build a protein bar company that reflects lifestyle and values that align with each other. Vital Halva came to being in our kitchen when we realized that compromising on decadence and quality does not have to always be the case.
We leaned on our ingredients to tell us where to go. Sesame has been used since ancient times to make pastes and oils, as well as being used in traditional halva recipes dating back to the 12th century. Aside from tasting great, sesame has homeopathic health qualities that create a nutritional powerhouse of proteins, high quality fats and minerals such as calcium and magnesium. From there we wanted to take a hard left turn to add low-glycemic index sweetener and added proteins to form the protein bar you have by now come to love.
Perfect for pre-workout or post workout recovery, take it from us, our snack bars are exactly what you need to integrate into your active lifestyle.
